Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority will be hosting a series of drop-in events across the region this Autumn to help everyone have their say on the bus franchising consultation.  

Taking place in September and October, the events will give people the opportunity to meet members of the consultation team in person, share their views about local bus services face-to-face and give feedback in the consultation.  

Events will be happening in a variety of busy places where people catch the bus including town centre shopping areas and bus stations, and in locations such as Huntingdon, Ely, Peterborough, Northstowe , Wisbech and Cambridge. They are being held to coincide with popular travelling times in the day.

Huntingdon 

Tuesday 17 September 10am to 12noon Market Square, High Street, Huntingdon Town Centre, Huntingdon, PE29 3NR

Tuesday 17 September 4pm to 5pm Huntingdon Bus Station, Princes Street, Huntingdon, PE29 3PA 

Ely

Chief Executive of the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority, Rob Bridge, said: “We want to hear from as many people as possible which is why we’re bringing the consultation to you. We understand that, for many, the opportunity to have a conversation in person really matters and means more people can take part. Helping to involve everyone also really matters to us, so don’t miss your opportunity to tell us what you think about how bus services should be run in the future.”   

The consultation is running until 20 November 2024. It will inform a decision by the Mayor of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough on how to reform buses across the area. 

For anyone who can’t attend a drop-in event, there are lots of other ways to take part in the consultation:

• Paper copies or large print versions of the consultation documents are available, and copies can be requested in the following languages: Polish, Lithuanian, Portuguese and Urdu.  

• People can also print out the consultation documents and post their response by calling 01480 277180 to receive a FREEPOST envelope.
