The Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority’s bus franchising consultation is being extended until Monday 25 November 2024.

The consultation, which has been running online and via a series of face-to-face events since 14 August 2024, was due to close at midnight on Wednesday 20 November. It will now stay open until 9am on Monday 25 November 2024 to give everyone more time to have their say.

Due to a technical issue with the consultation website over the weekend, the Combined Authority has taken the decision to extend the consultation to make sure anyone who couldn’t submit their response online at the weekend has some extra time to do so.

Printed responses, if they are posted no later than Monday 25 November 2024, can still be counted, too.

Chief Executive of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority, Rob Bridge, said: “We are extending the bus franchising consultation to give everyone some more time to submit their views. Thank you again to all those who have taken part so far and if you know someone who still wants to have their say, please let them know they now have more time to get involved.”

Once the consultation closes the Combined Authority will compile and publish a report setting out its response to the feedback. The Mayor’s decision is currently planned for 22nd January 2025, however this date may be subject to change.
